CNN just got waiver by FAA to fly drones over crowds of people

The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) has granted some companies like CNN waivers allowing them to fly drones over people, but it must use the Snap drone built by Vantage Robotics. This particular drone was designed for the purpose of flying over people and comes with safeguards like enclosed rotors, which are designed to ensure people won’t be hurt if they drones fall from the sky. Such a waiver would also benefit companies like Amazon or Google that are exploring the use of drones to deliver goods to people in the U.S.
