Cariplo Factory joins the project and organizes a bootcamp to prepare Italian innovators for the challenge

Responding to the challenges brought by the emergency of the new Coronavirus. This is the objective of #EUvsVirus, a digital hackathon, scheduled from 24 to 26 April, promoted by the European Commission to connect civil society, innovators and investors across Europe, in order to develop ideas and solutions to face the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Cariplo Factory innovation hub also joins the initiative and organizes, in collaboration with Tree, a bootcamp to prepare individuals or teams already established for the European hackathon.

The bootcamp, which will take place on Saturday 18 April, from 10 to 20, is aimed at the development and consolidation of innovative ideas and projects in the context of the challenge “Social & Political Cohesion”, one of the five thematic areas of #EUvsVirus. In particular, the objective of this challenge is to identify solutions to support people forced into quarantine or isolation, through a series of social and political initiatives to support citizens as such, communities, democracy, values of the EU and fundamental rights. In addition, the projects may also include analyzes relating to socio-political and socio-economic impacts compared to the measures taken by the government, especially against fragile or vulnerable communities.
On the Cariplo Factory website it is possible to apply to participate in the bootcamp.

The form is available here.

#EUvsVirus, is organized with the support of the European Parliament and promoted by Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth. An ambitious challenge that aims to involve over 300 virtual teams for over 60 thousand innovators.
As can be read on the project website “#EUvsVirus is a call to action to participate in the fight against COVID-19: to demonstrate unity and share one’s skills for the common good, beyond borders and generations! Let’s digitally open EU borders during this collective challenge! ”.
