Voice of the kids: artificial intelligence seen by young people

The debate event promoted by the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence was held in Florence on October 15th
Artificial intelligence is already in our lives and we almost didn’t realize it: the sectors and the fields of application are many and the impacts affect more and more aspects of our society. It is important to create greater awareness and stimulate reflection and debate on these issues, also and above all among the new generations. With these objectives, the meeting “I protagonisti del XXI secolo: voce AI ragazzi” was born, which took place on Tuesday 15 October in the prestigious Salone del Cinquecento in the historic Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. The event-debate was organized by AIxIA, the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence, in collaboration with the Istituto Superiore Gobetti Volta, the Department of Letters and Philosophy of the University of Florence and the Municipality of Florence.
The event. Guests on stage not only economists, environmental experts and AI researchers, but also and above all young students, true protagonists of the 21st century. It was an opportunity for the students involved to develop a critical awareness of the impacts of new digital technologies and to acquire a new awareness of themselves.
